Dear players,

Demo 1.3 has just been released for Horn of Balance!
This demo contains small incremental improvements, primarily focused on addressing the feedback received over on discord.
If you like it, consider giving it a nice review after playing. It really (!) helps the game's visibility on this site.

The new demo features:

  • New item added: the awakened sword (found in one of the demo's secret chests)
  • Now able to run through pots and bushes
  • Slightly increased the demo's difficulty
  • Most statues can now be read without the monocle item
  • Added, and tweaked, a few more sound effects
  • Fixed issue: item usage count on the credits page does not always display the correct number

As for the next steps:

Development on demo 2.0 is already well underway. That one will add one small intro dungeon, as well as sections of the overworld. And, if you're more into world building: expect to encounter the remaining members of the game's villain group! I doubt you'll have seen a dysfunctional band of misfits quite like this before, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Look forward to seeing more in the near future.

Also, check out the new project capsule art! Slowly but surely more steps are also be taken towards the eventual Kickstarter campaign.
